- Systemic issues in the acquisition and vetting process
The course also includes a module on UN acquisition processes and procedures and deals with such topics as:
- What is procurement; its definition and impact
- General principles and policy (Financial Regulations and Rules; Procurement Manual)
- Acquisition planning; specifications; solicitation methods; tender & evaluation
Who should attend:
- The LCC Basic training is mandatory for staff members serving on the Committees on Contracts and therefore LCC Chairs, Members, and secretaries are the primary beneficiaries of this training. When seats are available, procurement officers, requisitioners, and resident auditors are also encouraged to attend.
