The IMTC Chiefs Workshop, organized by the DPO Integrated Training Service (ITS), enhances the skills of field mission trainers and serves as a forum for guiding missions on departmental training requirements as well as providing technical guidance towards the delivery of training and other learning initiatives.
The program is to be delivered for the chiefs of civilian, military, and police training cells of the Integration Mission Training Centres (IMTCs)/Training Units. The workshop aims to raise awareness and prioritize peacekeeping mandate issues in the planning and delivery of training.
The program will also focus on the utilization of technology for effective delivery of training for mission personnel, including information on Artificial Intelligence (AI), and exploring the possibility of applying it to peacekeeping training based on the rules and regulations of the United Nations. There is also the opportunity for facilitating networking among key mission trainers and enhancing the management of training for the field.
