Considering the momentum from COP28, the FAO Liaison Offices in Geneva and New York and the FAO Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment (OCB) will jointly organize a hybrid briefing to discuss the outcomes from COP28 and their implications for agrifood systems. The main objectives of this joint briefing are:
1) To inform stakeholders of the outcomes of COP28 related to food and agriculture sectors;
2) To raise awareness of the technical support available including roadmaps, guidelines, tools and other resources that can support Members with developing clear pathways to achieve SDG 2 within a 1.5 scenario; and
3) To promote dialogue on agrifood systems and their critical role in providing solutions for climate change.
