Youth and CSO Forums, 13-14 November 2023
Prior to the 7th APPC, a Youth Forum and a CSO Forum will be held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok and online on 13 and 14 November 2023.
The CSO and Youth Forums are codesigned and implemented by a team of stakeholders led by the 7th APPC CSO Steering Committee, UNESCAP and UNFPA, APRO. CSOs, including youth-led organizations, are integral to the implementation of the 2013 APMD, as well as the ICPD PoA and the ICPD+30 processes in Asia and the Pacific.
The goal of the forums is to facilitate meaningful participation of a diverse group of regional, subregional, national and local level CSOs and youth representatives that work on issues representing the breadth of the population and development agenda in Asia and the Pacific. Organizations that work with marginalized groups on these issues are welcome to attend.
The Seventh Asian and Pacific Population Conference, 15-17 November 2023
The Seventh Asian and Pacific Population Conference is organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Asia and the Pacific. It will be held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok and online from 15 to 17 November 2023.
Pursuant to ESCAP resolution 74 (XXIII) of 17 April 1967, the Conference is a statutory organ of UN ESCAP and convenes every ten years.
The Conference will provide an opportunity to review the implementation of the 2013 Asian and Pacific Ministerial Declaration on Population and Development and the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development in the region. It will focus on intersecting population and development considerations as they relate to sustainable development, both now and in the future.

Credentials and registration
Each CSO is required to submit a letter of credentials, duly signed by the appropriate authority of the respective no later than 3 November 2023, 23:59 (BKK time) to escap-sdd@un.org with the subject line 'CSO Letter of credentials'.
All participants who appear in the letter of credentials are requested to register online as soon as possible but no later than 3 November 2023, 23:59 (BKK time). Only the names of duly accredited and registered participants will be included in the list of participants.
