To ensure effective cross-fertilization of ideas and interchange between discussions at the Durban Forum and the work of the PCCB related to its annual focus area as well as to address some of the topics and outcomes of the 12th Durban Forum on capacity-building in greater details, the PCCB is hosting a Durban Forum Deep Dive Webinar. This year’s webinar is entitled ‘’Synergy and alignment between disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in NAPs’’ and is scheduled for Tuesday, 07th of November from 14:00–15:30 CET. This webinar will shed light on the role of capacity building in:
- Understanding the synergies between DRR and climate change adaptation
- Enhancing knowledge on the climate vulnerability to identify risk reduction opportunities at the national, regional and local levels to advance the NAP process
- Harnessing community engagement (anticipation, preparation, decision-making, and recovery) and local knowledge preservation
- Understanding how stakeholders and actors should connect to, engage and collaborate with DRR counterparts to benefit from existing experience and enhance capacities
How to register
First, create an account in the system following the steps below:
- Step 1: Go to Indico.un.org
- Step 2: Enter your email address and click “Send me a verification email”
- Step 3: Go to your inbox and click on the verification link you receive, which will take you to a new page
- Step 4: Complete the “Creating a new Indico profile” form on the new page by filling in all mandatory fields and clicking on “Create my Indico profile”
