Through the PCCB Network, this webinar is jointly organized by the United Nations University Vice-Rectorate in Europe (UNU-ViE) and Impulsouth. The focus of this session is to explore strategies for capacity-building that support climate action implementation, and will be centred around the potential that capacity-building has in empowering young people in the world of climate action.
Youth are among the most vulnerable groups affected by the long-lasting environmental consequences of climate change. Importantly, young people worldwide have demonstrated their enthusiasm and dedication to taking action against climate change. Recognizing the significance of youth involvement, meaningful participation should be integrated into all aspects, cycles, and levels of governance, as well as in multi-stakeholder settings. This not only allows young individuals to showcase their ideas and abilities but also instills a sense of ownership in the process, ensuring the effective implementation of the Paris Agreement in the long run.
Join us for this interactive panel discussion which aims to foster discussions on essential approaches and existing challenges related to enhancing capacities for youth engagement, while also exploring new opportunities to bolster capacity-building initiatives for young individuals!
