FAO cordially invites you to join the “Coffee with FAO” event to gain insights into the recently released flagship report titled “The Future of Food and Agriculture - Drivers and Triggers for Transformation.” The event also includes discussions about FAO’s Corporate Strategic Foresight Exercise (CSFE) 2020-2022 – the genesis of the report - to discuss how agrifood systems transformation could be achieved and learn about FAO’s profile regarding strategic foresight activities.
The Future of Food and Agriculture
The corporate report ‘The Future of Food and Agriculture – Drivers and triggers for transformation’ (FOFA-DTT) builds on previous reports of the same series - complemented by web-based data-sharing devices and other forms of information sharing tools. It analyzes major drivers of agrifood systems and explores how their future trends could determine alternative futures of agrifood, socioeconomic and environmental systems.
The Corporate Strategic foresight exercise (CSFE)
FAO engages in corporate strategic foresight exercises at the global level to think and act strategically for the future and nurture corporate planning pillars, such as the Review of the Strategic Framework 2010-2019, the preparation of the Medium-Term Plan 2018-2021, and the new Strategic Framework of FAO. These exercises aim to analyze possible alternative futures at global and regional levels with contributions from all technical divisions and whole-of-FAO policy intelligence production.
Please ensure that you register if you plan to attend the event in-person, to facilitate planning. For virtual participation, please register here.
