The next UNWG Coffee Morning will take place on Tuesday April 4 at the Palais des Nations, Auditorium, Building H, from 9.30 to 11.30 a.m, offered by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to UNOG.
The theme will be “Role of women in development and transformation of Azerbaijani society”. This exciting content will be presented by the well-known historic curator Mr. Fuad Akhundov.
Azerbaijan has a proud record of one of the first countries in the Muslim world to grant women the right to vote in 1918. The role of women in Azerbaijan\'s cultural transformation is truly commendable. Seven pioneering women – the first pianist, painter, opera diva, ballet dancer, sculptor, actress and film director were not only the first of their kind in Azerbaijan, but in the whole Muslim world.
