Since the establishment of the UHPR Technical Advisory Group (TAG) in October 2021, five (virtual) meetings have been held. The last UHPR TAG meeting was held on the 23rd of November 2022. During the meeting, the UHPR Secretariat updated the TAG on the UHPR timeline for 2022 – 2023. The three TAG subgroups presented their conclusions and recommendations on the UHPR Commissions (subgroup 1), the UHPR indicators (subgroup 2) and the civil society and community engagement in the UHPR process (subgroup 3). Finally, the UHPR secretariat gave a presentation on the new UHPR process and background documents followed by a Q&A session.
As one of the next steps, it was agreed that the next UHPR TAG meeting will be a face-to face meeting, to be held in Geneva by the end of Q1 2023. Upon further deliberation of the co-chairs of the TAG, dates for the sixth TAG meeting are proposed to be from 22 to 24 March 2023.
