Second Regional preparatory meeting for the Ninth Review Conference of the Biological Weapons Convention

The United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) and the BWC Implementation Support Unit will organize the second regional preparatory meeting for the Ninth BWC Review Conference in Panama City of Panama, from 30 to 31 August 2022. The event is one of four regional preparatory meetings supported by the European Union (EU) through EU Council Decision 2019/97/CFSP in support of the BWC. The four regional meetings are intended to contribute to a successful and substantive outcome of the Ninth Review Conference which is scheduled to take place from 28 November to 16 December 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland
