Secretariat to the Ad Hoc Committee

In operative paragraph 2 the resolution 74/247, the General Assembly decided to establish the Ad Hoc Committee to Elaborate a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes. In operative paragraph 10 of resolution 75/282, the General Assembly further decided to encourage the Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee to host intersessional consultations to solicit inputs from a diverse range of stakeholders on the elaboration of the draft convention.

In accordance with General Assembly resolution 75/282, the Ad Hoc Committee will hold its first intersessional consultation on 24 and 25 March 2022 in Vienna, Austria.

You are invited to follow the First intersessional consultation, 24 and 25 March 2022 via the webcast available to the public.

The meetings will be held a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual components.

While only two persons from each organization can be present in-person at any given time, the delegation can consist of more than two persons if they wish to alternate their presence in the meeting.

The organization is invited to request a maximum of two speaker links to participate online in order to ensure the optimal functioning of the platform. No listener links will be provided, but the organization is reminded that the meeting will be webcast to the public.

In addition, for registration requests on Indico to be approved, the organization is kindly requested to send an official letter, with letterhead and signed by the Head of the organization, via email to cybercrimeAHC@un.org with the details (name, title/function, workplace, individual email address and participation modality) of its representatives who shall attend the meeting. Moreover, the organization is informed that the letter as submitted to the secretariat is to be uploaded in Indico by those requesting participation, to be able to complete the registration on the platform Indico.
