In preparation for the 5th Ministerial Conference on Transport, scheduled to be held on 17-20 November 2026 in accordance with ESCAP resolution 78/3 on the Implementation of the Ministerial Declaration on Sustainable Transport Development in Asia and the Pacific, and in line with the decision of the first Regional Preparatory Meeting for the fifth Ministerial Conference on Transport, which was held on 1 and 2 April 2026, the second preparatory meeting is scheduled to be held in Bangkok and online on 11 and 12 June 2026.
The second preparatory meeting will be dedicated to the review and revision of the draft texts of the Ministerial Declaration and regional action programme for sustainable transport development in Asia and the Pacific (2027-2031) that will be considered for adoption at the Ministerial Conference.
