Joint meetings of the UNECE Group of Experts on Coal Mine Methane and Just Transtion and the Group of Experts on Gas with the Global Methane Initiative’s subcommittees.

On Wednesday, 26 March, the GMI Coal Mines Subcommittee will convene a meeting focused on advancing practical and cost-effective methane mitigation technologies and practices with the goal to reduce or eliminate emissions from coal mines. On Thursday, 27 March, the GMI’s Oil & Gas Subcommittee will convene a meeting to  discuss methane technologies, practices, resources, and mitigation efforts in various UN Member States, including through abatement, recovery, and use of methane in the oil and gas sector.  All are welcome.
