Description
The Regional Forum on Sustainable Development for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Region will be held in Geneva on 6 and 7 April 2022 as a hybrid meeting with the theme: Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the UNECE Region. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the realization of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the region. At the same time, forward-looking policies adopted now could provide an opportunity to build back better from the pandemic towards more sustainable and resilient societies. Against this background, the Regional Forum 2022 will offer a unique learning space to exchange effective policy actions for a sustainable recovery geared towards accelerating SDG progress.
