The COVID-19 pandemic has created new challenges for decision-makers, but it also has highlighted growth directions for the data management systems.
Reliable spatial data, information about real property units have proved to be crucially important types of data for the tasks of responding to the pandemic. In addition, the process of digitalization of land management, accelerated by the current challenges, has also increased the level of expectations towards geospatial data and registries’ information.
The participants of the webinar "NSDI, geospatial data and technology and response to COVID-19 and the role of geospatial and cadastre agencies" are invited to discuss the following topics:
- How do existing geoinformation systems and services contribute to the response to the pandemic and to more effective decision-making in general?
- How are the requirements for geoinformation systems and data changing?
