The workshop is organized jointly by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), UN-Habitat, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine and Swedish Think Tank - Global Utmaning. It will bring together representatives of the national and local governments of Ukraine, of UN agencies and other international organizations, national and international experts, representatives of NGOs and of academia. The goal of the workshop is to strengthen national capacities of Ukraine for evidence-based policy-making for sustainable urban development with a focus on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development implementation on national and municipal levels. The event objectives are: (i) to promote exchange of good practices in production, management and use of data for sustainable urban development policies; (ii) to discuss Ukraine’s experience in implementing evidence-based approach to promoting sustainable urban development at national and municipal levels; (iii) to support peer-to-peer learning and networking in support of SDG localization (iv) to facilitate the sharing of good examples and co-creation of solutions for accelerating sustainable urban development in Ukraine.
