With the increasing use of Ayurveda, Unani and Panchakarma treatments in clinical settings worldwide, there is an urgent need in several countries to regulate its practice and practitioners. As a response, WHO Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine team (TCI) is now further developing WHO benchmarks for Practice in Ayurveda, Unani, and Panchakarma. These documents aim to establish the reference point to which actual practice and practitioner can be evaluated.
As the next step in the procedure TCI/SDS is organizing a consultation meeting of international experts to review and finalize the current draft of these proposed benchmarks. As per the Project Collaboration Agreement, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has kindly agreed to host and financially support the meeting.
