The third meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention on Mercury (COP-3) will take place from 25 to 29 November 2019 at the International Conference Centre in Geneva, Switzerland.

Deposit your instrument by 27 August 2019 to be a Party at COP-3.

At its second meeting, the Conference of the Parties called for intersessional work to be carried out, and invited submissions from Parties and interested stakeholders on a number of issues to be considered further at COP-3.

Further information about COP-3, including meeting documents and practical information for participants, will be posted on the Convention website at http://mercuryconvention.org/cop-3 as they become available.

Given the limited time prior to the opening of the meeting, the pre-registration process is now closed. With regards to this, registrations will be processed on-site upon arrival. Please note that for Parties required documents for registration must include an official nomination letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or a note verbale from the Permanent Mission in Geneva of the Party to the United Nations Office at Geneva. For Non-Parties, required document for registration must include a nomination letter from your Government.
