The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), is pleased to invite you to a dialogue on WMD-related compliance and enforcement. WMD-related arms control and disarmament agreements are currently under pressure, with compliance and enforcement mechanisms particularly at risk. Drawing on insights from leading experts, this dialogue will look across different regimes at successes, failures and lessons learned. It will address questions such as:
- What are the major challenges facing WMD arms control and disarmament regimes?
- Are these challenges unique to this period or ongoing issues?
- What practical steps might strengthen WMD-related compliance and enforcement mechanisms?
