DESCRIPTION:The two-day Conference will address the issue of Israel’s po
 licies and measures aimed at the forcible change of the character of Jerus
 alem\, which have had significant political\, legal and socio-economic ram
 ifications\, including the threat of derailing any prospect of a peaceful 
 solution to the Question of Palestine. In the second day\, the Conference 
 will seek to formulate concrete actionable recommendations and ways forwar
 d among the relevant stakeholders for the preservation of the Sacred City.
  Conference panels will focus on specific aspects of the theme\, e.g. “l
 egal”\, “political”\, “religious”.\n\nThe Conference will provid
 e an opportunity for expert speakers to inform about current developments 
 regarding Jerusalem and highlight opportunities for Member States and civi
 l society to engage decision-makers and stakeholders\, with the aim of (1)
  stemming efforts to alter the demography and character of the City while 
 also (2) providing viable alternatives that preserve the religious and cul
 tural character of the City and (3) ensuring that all its Palestinian inha
 bitants enjoy their inalienable rights.\n\nThe conference\, supported by t
 he Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)\, will be organized in collab
