Working Group on Drug Efficacy meeting

The objectives of the meeting are: - to establish a network of laboratories to support countries in regularly assessing efficacy of drugs used in PC (the network will be composed of regional laboratories under the coordination of a central laboratory). - The meeting participants will: o define the terms of reference for a reference laboratory (aim, role, duties, material and competences needed); o identify the geographical areas where it would be of strategic importance to place reference laboratories; o identify potential funding sources; o define the appointment process for a reference laboratory (site visits, training of personnel, periodic performance review, quality assurance of the services).
