Technical Expert Working Group Meeting Surgical Antibiotic Prophylaxis for the Essential Medicine List

This meeting is aimed at identifying priority antibiotics for SAP to be included in the 2019 EML update, according to surgical procedures categories and/or perhaps wound class (we will discuss later); please see the attached 2019 EML document and for instance, look at the section on antibacterial to get an idea on what the document will look like. The meeting is also aimed at discussing additional technical issues to enable further progress towards issuing more detailed guidance document/protocol in the future (including details on dosing, redosing, PK/PD issues, AMR discussions etc.).
