Expert-consultation on implementation of the Challenge at country level
This expert consultation will deliberate on strategies and actions required to implement the Challenge at country level. During the meeting the expert group will discuss the development of technical guidance to support and facilitate the implementation and review a draft Country Guidance document, deliberate on different perspectives, share views and experiences and agree on further steps. The consultation will invite and engage regional counterparts and national programme implementers in the further development of guidance in the national level implementation of the Challenge.
The draft Country Guidance document will be circulated prior to the consultation. The draft document describes a range of actions and strategic interventions at national, regional and health facility levels; for example, governance structure for national implementation of the Challenge, leadership, monitoring and evaluation framework, and communication strategy. Furthermore, the document provides recommendations for actions and interventions within the four domains; 1) patients and the public, 2) medicines, 3) health care professionals, and 4) systems and practices of medication.
