The Arab Forum for Digital Economy will be held in Cairo, from 10 to 12 November 2018, and will address the digital transformation in Egypt. The Forum will be held under the patronage of His Excellency The Prime Minister of Egypt, and it is jointly organized by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform, in partnership with the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies, the Academy Company for Information Communication Technology and the Economic and Social Councils at the national level, and with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) at the regional level. The Forum aims to enable high-level experts and representatives from various stakeholders to deliberate on the impact of digitization on development, towards fostering Arab initiatives and building the digital agenda of Egypt. It is intended to cover themes related to global digitization, business transformation, ICT infrastructure, building soft capabilities for digitization, smart governments, financial transformation challenges and opportunities.
