The recent High-level Commission on Health Employment and Economic Growth highlighted the importance of investing in the health workforce not only to improve population health but also to stimulate inclusive economic growth. To that end, the Commission put forward recommendations, including undertaking health labour market analysis (HLMA).
Within this context, the World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a programme of work to undertake HLMA at country level. Based on this experience, WHO is in the process of developing HLMA modules in a more standardized way.
To ensure that the Workshop objectives will be achieved, the above-mentioned preparatory meeting will take place in WHO headquarters in Geneva
