Global Peace Index Launch 2018

Serge Stroobants of the Institute for Economics & Peace will present the findings of the 12th edition of the Global Peace Index. The 2018 report provides the rankings of 163 countries according to levels of peacefulness, investigating global and regional trends of violence and peace. With the launch of the UN Secretary-General's Agenda for Disarmament: Securing Our Common Future on 24th May, Dr. Renata Dwan, Director of UNIDIR, will review the Agenda and its links to building and supporting peace. The discussion afterwards will be moderated by Kerstin Vignard, Deputy Director at the UN Institute for Disarmament Research.
