Description
We are currently developing Disease Commodity Packages (DCP) for infectious diseases. The objective of the DCP initiative is to identify essential supplies required for effective response, to provide technical specifications of those items and to offer guidance on the quantification process. Initially the DCPs will cover 9 diseases - Ebola, Marburg, Lassa Fever, Pandemic Influenza, MERS, SARS, Meningitis, Cholera and Yellow Fever. Objectives of the Meeting: 1- To build census on which commodities are absolutely essential in a given outbreak response and, therefore, require special attention from a supply and procurement perspective to ensure sufficient and timely availability of supplies 2- To review our current progress on the development of the DCPs
