The Amazon Orchestra of Violincellists was established in 1998 by Professor Doctor Áureo Freitas. It is composed of young, talented musicians who are part of the Technical School of Music and the UFPA Music Licensing Course.

Directed by the maestro Áureo Freitas, seventeen young musicians will perform a repertoire of Brazilian classical music as well as diverse compositions which the orchestra has previously performed.
