DESCRIPTION:The Socio-Economic Development Division (SEDD) is organizing t
 he Inter-Regional Policy Workshop on Strengthening Inclusive and Shock-Res
 ponsive Social Protection Systems in Africa scheduled for 7 to 9 October 2
 026 at the UNCC\, Addis Ababa.  This event is in collaboration with UNDES
 A and ESCWA.\n \nThe workshop will seek to address the critical capacity 
 gaps in designing\, financing\, and implementing inclusive\, evidence-base
 d and crisis responsive social protection systems while utilizing timely a
 nd disaggregated data and measures such as the Multidimensional Poverty In
 dex to leave no one behind. It will validate knowledge and guidelines that
  aim to support African countries in translating multidimensional poverty 
 concepts into practical tools for social protection implementation with pa
 rticular focus on strengthening the Guidelines for Operationalizing the Mu
 ltidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) for Adaptive Social Protection: A Frame
 work for Action. The guidelines were developed in partnership with OPHI un
