DESCRIPTION:\nBackground \n\n\n\n\nAsia-Pacific is on the front lines of 
 the climate crisis. The region faces increasingly severe impacts from risi
 ng sea levels\, extreme weather events and biodiversity loss\, while also 
 hosting some of the fastest-growing economies and innovation hubs in the w
 orld. The latest round of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) shift
 s the center of gravity from target-setting to implementation and deliveri
 ng whole-of-economy and whole-of-society implementation cannot be solely d
 elivered by the government. \n\n\nThe outcome of the first Global Stockta
 ke recognizes the crucial role of all sectors of society\, from national a
 nd subnational governments\, private enterprises\, financial institutions\
 , and civil society\, in advancing climate action. As countries work to im
 plement their NDCs\, they need an integrated\, inclusive approach to ensur
 e climate strategies are implementable\, locally grounded\, and finance-re
 ady. \nIn practice\, this means that the sectoral transitions embedded in
  climate plans depend on capabilities that often sit outside environment m
 inistries\, such as risk-tolerant capital\, independent evidence and model
 ing\, technical and measurement capacity\, a skilled workforce\, and susta
 ined public engagement. Philanthropies\, universities\, research instituti
 ons\, professional bodies\, subnational authorities and community organiza
 tions already hold much of this capability. What is usually missing is a s
 tructured channel between them and the national climate implementation age
 nda.\nThe UNFCCC secretariat\, including through its Regional Collaborati
 on Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RCC Asia-Pacific) is scaling up engage
 ment with these partners in Asia. As the convenor of the multilateral clim
 ate process\, the custodian of the global climate treaties and a catalyst 
 for climate action through capacity building\, technology\, data and partn
 erships\, the UNFCCC is positioned to broker connections between national 
 climate priorities and the actors able to help deliver them.\nObjectives o
 f the Meeting \n\n\n\n\nIntroduce the UNFCCC and RCC Asia-Pacific partner
 ship approach in Asia and set out concretely what partnership can look lik
 e for each type of actor in the room\; \n\n\n\n\n\n\nExplore alignment be
 tween participants’ priorities including on energy transition\, adaptati
 on\, nature-based solutions\, loss and damage\, youth and local communitie
 s\; \n\n\n\n\n\n\nTest what makes cross-sector partnership work in practi
 ce such as instruments\, timelines\, risk appetite\, attribution\, and the
  limits of what each partner can commit\; \n\n\n\n\n\n\nShowcase entry po
 ints including multi-year funding arrangements\, co-designed initiatives\,
  research and analytical partnerships\, joint capacity-building\, and visi
 bility platforms (Asia ACT Forum\, Climate Weeks\, COP). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
 \nListen and learn from participants about their strategies\, constraints 
 and preferred modes of engagement. \n\n\n \n\n\nThe roundtable aims to f
 ocus on the following questions:  \n\n\n\n\nHow does each partner transl
 ate NDC targets into implementation? \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat are the main prio
 rities your institution is currently focused on\, and where do you see the
  strongest opportunities to contribute? \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhich forms of supp
 ort are you best positioned to provide\, such as finance\, evidence and an
 alysis\, technical capacity\, convening or implementation support\; or a c
 ombination? \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat has made previous partnerships with multil
 ateral bodies work or fail\, in your experience? \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat could
  UNFCCC provide or do to make engagement easier and more useful for your i
 nstitution? \n\n\n\n\nExpected Outcomes \n\n\n\n\nAn initial mapping of 
 who is contributing to NDC implementation in the region\, in terms of capi
 tal\, evidence\, capacity\, convening and delivery. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nStrengt
 hened relationships between UNFCCC and Asian philanthropic\, academic and 
 non-traditional actors. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nA follow-up at COP31 in Antalya (No
