DESCRIPTION:\nEl Artículo 6.8 proporciona un marco para que las Partes co
 operen voluntariamente en el cumplimiento de sus contribuciones determinad
 as a nivel nacional (NDC\, por sus siglas en inglés) sin el uso de mercad
 os\, transacciones de carbono u operaciones de quid pro quo. Destaca el pa
 pel de los enfoques no relacionados con mercados para promover el desarrol
 lo sostenible y la erradicación de la pobreza\, aumentar la ambición en 
 materia de mitigación y adaptación\, y fortalecer la resiliencia en los 
 países anfitriones.\nLa Decisión 4/CMA.3 adoptó el programa de trabajo 
 bajo el marco para los enfoques no relacionados con mercados. Dicho progra
 ma de trabajo operacionaliza el Artículo 6.8 y reconoce la importancia de
  una cooperación integrada\, holística y equilibrada para respaldar la i
 mplementación de las NDC e incrementar la ambición de mitigación y adap
 tación. La plataforma de enfoques no relacionados con el mercado (NMA Pla
 tform) funge como la herramienta central para registrar e intercambiar inf
 ormación sobre dichos enfoques\, así como para identificar oportunidades
  de cooperación\, incluso a través de su foro de discusión.\nEl 15 de a
 bril de 2026 se llevó a cabo un taller virtual para América Latina\, en 
 el cual se introdujo el Artículo 6.8 y el programa de trabajo\, y se exam
 inó la experiencia de los proveedores de apoyo y de los países anfitrion
 es en la región. Las Partes y los interesados que no son Partes en Améri
 ca Latina continúan consolidando su experiencia y conocimientos en esta m
 ateria\, y la región se encuentra bien posicionada para pasar de una comp
 rensión introductoria del marco a la ejecución de los pasos concretos ne
 cesarios para identificar\, desarrollar e implementar enfoques no relacion
 ados con el mercado\, fortaleciendo así la cooperación regional.\n\n \n

 Parties to cooperate voluntarily in achieving their nationally determined
  contributions (NDCs) without the use of markets\, the transaction of carb
 on or quid pro quo operations. It emphasizes the role of non-market approa
 ches in advancing sustainable development and poverty eradication\, enhanc
 ing mitigation and adaptation ambition\, and strengthening resilience in h
 ost countries.  Decision 4/CMA.3 adopted the work programme under the fr
 amework for non-market approaches. This work programme operationalizes Art
 icle 6.8 and recognizes the importance of integrated\, holistic and balanc
 ed cooperation to support NDC implementation and increase mitigation and a
 daptation ambition. The NMA Platform serves as the central tool for record
 ing and exchanging information on non-market approaches and identifying op
 portunities for cooperation\, including through its discussion forum.  A
  virtual workshop for Latin America was held on 15 April 2026\, introducin
 g Article 6.8 and the work programme and examining the experience of suppo
 rt providers and host countries in the region. Parties and non-Party stake
 holders in Latin America continue to build experience and knowledge in thi
 s area\, and the region is well positioned to move from an introductory un
 derstanding of the framework towards the concrete steps needed to identify
 \, develop and implement non-market approaches and strengthen regional coo
