  Cooperation Agency (TICA).\n\n\n \nFORMAT & VENUE \n\n\nThe Forum will 
 be held in Conference Room 4 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Ba
 ngkok\, Thailand.  \n\n\n \nBACKGROUND  \n\n\nThe United Nations Econ
 omic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) provides a reg
 ional platform for its member States to advance South-South and triangular
  cooperation as practical means of responding collectively to emerging dev
 elopment challenges. By facilitating the exchange of knowledge\, expertise
 \, technologies and context-specific solutions\, ESCAP supports countries 
 in adapting to rapid economic\, social\, environmental and technological c
 hanges while strengthening regional solidarity and mutual learning. \n\n\
 n \nThe Asia-Pacific Directors General Forum for South-South and Triangul
 ar Cooperation serves as a regional platform bringing together governments
 \, development cooperation agencies\, international organizations and othe
 r partners to examine shared priorities\, exchange experiences and identif
 y opportunities for collaboration. Since its establishment\, the Forum has
  promoted dialogue on how South-South and triangular cooperation can contr
 ibute to sustainable development across the region and beyond. \n\n\n \n
 In line with the theme of the upcoming 83rd session of the Commission\, 
 “ESCAP at 80: navigating paradigm shifts\, promoting connectivity and ac
 celerating sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific”\, the Forum 
 will focus on “Navigating Paradigm Shifts with South-South and Triangula
 r Cooperation: Advancing Connectivity and Sustainable Development in Asia 
 and the Pacific.” The Forum will explore how cooperation among countries
  of the Global South\, supported by triangular partnerships\, can help cou
 ntries navigate development transitions\, strengthen connectivity and acce
 lerate sustainable development. \n\n\n \n  \n\nOBJECTIVES & TARGET AUD
 IENCEThe meeting aims for Directors General of technical cooperation agenc
 ies to interact with peers\, regional policymakers\, development partners 
 and other key stakeholders in order to: \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nExamine major
  paradigm shifts affecting development cooperation in Asia and the Pacific
  and their implications for South-South and triangular cooperation. \n\nE
 xchange experiences and approaches for adapting development cooperation mo
 dels\, partnerships and financing to a changing development landscape. \n
 Explore how South-South and triangular cooperation can help countries navi
 gate development paradigm shifts and advance connectivity and sustainable 
 development.\nFacilitate in-person networking and bilateral meetings to 
 identify partnership opportunities among governments\, technical cooperati
 on agencies\, and development actors. \n\n\n\n \n\n \nBILATERAL MEETING
 S  \n\n\nESCAP will provide dedicated time and meeting rooms for organiz
 ing bilateral meetings among participating technical cooperation agencies.
