The High-Level meeting is to be convened by the President of the Genera l Assembly and shall be held at United Nations Headquarters in New York on  23 September 2026 during the general debate of the Assembly at its eight y-first session\, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.\, and shall consist of an opening segment\, followed by a plenary segment\;\nThe high- level segment will serve as a platform to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development. Member States are encour aged to reflect on the following points in their statements.\nAs guided b y resolution A/RES/80/207 other relevant non-governmental organizations\, including civil society organizations\, academic institutions\, and the pr ivate sector\, whose work is relevant to the High-Level Meeting\, are also invited to participate.\nPlease Note \n\n\nEach Organization will be abl e to register up to two (2) representatives. If more than two are register ed under one organization\, the Secretariat will approve registrations on a first-come first-serve basis\, with reference to the letter of represent ation provided by the Organization. \n\n\nParticipants must register indiv idually via the relevant INDICO form. Bulk registrations are not permitted by the system.\n\n\nPlease attach a letter of nomination from the Preside nt or Chief Executive Officer of your organization\, endorsing your partic ipation in this meeting. \n\n\n\n\nSubmitting a registration does not gua rantee your in-person participation. You will receive an approval letter c onfirming your in-person participation if your registration is approved.\n \n\n*The deadline to register is 10 September 2026.\nSpecial Event Tickets (SETs) for High-Level Meetings: For all UNGA high-level meetings and even ts\, civil society and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) must be regis tered and approved through dedicated\, online registration processes for e ach event. At the conclusion of the registration processes\, parti cipants will be notified of  the approval of their registration\, and will also be informed of the date\, time and venue for the c ollection of the required Special Event Tickets (SETs). To collec t the SETs\, approved participants will be required to present t he Letter of Approval that was sent to them by the United  Nations\, as well as a Member State-issued photo ID\, such as a passport o r a driver’s license\, etc.\n \nThe SETs will indicate the name  of the participant\, the specific meeting\, date and time of  the event and thus\, they are not transferable. Participants will be re quired to carry the  SETs with them at all times while on UN pre mises.\n \nThe issuance of Special Event Tickets is the respon sibility of the United Nations sponsoring office.\n \nThe acces s point to the UN Headquarters complex will be on Second Avenue an d 46th Street\, leading to the 47th Street and First Avenue entranc e\, where attendees will enter one hour prior to the start of a meeting or special event. Following mandatory security screening\, they will proceed to the meeting or event location.\n \n \nThe United N ations Webcast services will provide live streaming coverage of the high-l evel segment in all available UN official languages\, through the UN Web T V website at: http://webtv.un.org. In addition\, Closed Captions and Trans cripts could be available on all recorded videos of the high-level segment .\n \nFurther information will be provided as it becomes available.
