At a time when growing pressures on education systems are exposing the limits of existing approaches to teacher policy, the 15th Teacher Policy Dialogue Forum will explore how professional development can be reimagined as a lifelong journey, embedded within coherent policies that enable teachers to thrive throughout their careers. Convened by the International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030 and co-hosted by the African Union Commission, the Forum takes place at a significant moment for education in Africa, following the launch of the African Unionโ€™s Decade of Accelerated Action for the Transformation of Education and Skills Development. It will create a space for dialogue on how this vision can be translated into sustainable policy and practice, while showcasing progress under the EU Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa. The Forum will also mark the launch of the 2026 Global Report on Teachers, connecting its findings with experiences from across Africa and beyond to support the transformation of teacher policies and professional development systems.
