Climate Week 4 (CW4) is part of the UNFCCC Climate Weeks series, which supports the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement by connecting the intergovernmental process with climate action in the real economy.
Taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 7 to 11 September 2026, CW4 will bring together Party representatives and a diverse range of stakeholders from the region and beyond, including businesses, financial institutions, cities, Indigenous Peoples, youth, civil society, academia and international organizations. Building on the momentum and implementation pathways identified through previous Climate Weeks, the event will foster collaboration, strengthen partnerships and showcase practical solutions that can accelerate climate action on the ground.
The programme combines UNFCCC mandated events with public sessions designed to bridge policy and implementation.
The public programme includes the Implementation Forum, which brings together policymakers, practitioners, investors, businesses, local authorities, youth and civil society to exchange implementation experience, identify scalable solutions and strengthen collaboration to accelerate climate action. Complementing these discussions, the Labs and Innovation Labs (iLabs) will showcase practical examples from the real economy, highlighting innovative approaches, emerging technologies and collaborative models that demonstrate how climate commitments are being translated into action across sectors and regions.
While mandated events are reserved for Party representatives, members of the media and registered participants are welcome to attend the open components of Climate Week 4, including the opening session, the public sessions of the Implementation Forum and Labs, and the closing segment presenting the key outcomes of the week.
Participation in the open components of Climate Week 4 is free of charge. Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel, accommodation and related expenses.
