DESCRIPTION:The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA)\, in c
 ollaboration with the Government of Ethiopia and strategic partners will o
 rganize the Africa Regional Consultation on the WSIS+20 Outcomes Implement
 ation from 1 to 2 July 2026 in Addis Ababa\, Ethiopia.\nThe consultation f
 ollows the twentieth anniversary of the World Summit on the Information So
 ciety (WSIS+20)\, which concluded with the United Nations General Assembly
  High-Level Meeting held from 16–17 December 2025 and the adoption of Un
 ited Nations General Assembly Resolution A/RES/80/173. The resolution exte
 nds the WSIS mandate through 2035 and integrates the Global Digital Compac
 t (GDC) as a guiding framework for inclusive and sustainable digital trans
