 NTS\nThe Federation of Associations of Former International Civil Servants
  (FAFICS)\, founded in 1975\, is the world-wide umbrella organization unit
 ing the local associations of former staff of the United Nations system of
  organizations.  Our purpose is to represent\, defend\, and protect the i
 nterests of retirees around the world\, particularly on matters of pension
 s\, health insurance\, and issues related to their lives as retirees.\nFAF
 ICS is a non-governmental organization accredited to and in consultative s
 tatus with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)\, the H
 uman Rights Council (HRC)\, and the United Nations Department of Global Co
 mmunications. In these capacities\, FAFICS participates in ECOSOC and HRC 
 meetings and their subsidiary bodies. We also work closely with the United
  Nations Department of Global Communications.  FAFICS also participates i
 n civic forums and other advocacy events in support of the purposes\, prin
 ciples\, programmes\, and achievements of the United Nations system\, wher
 e the contributions\, experience\, and views of former international civil
  servants may be useful. It also maintains consultative status with the Fe
 deration of International Civil Servants’ Associations (FICSA).\nFor mor
