      The high-level opening session looks ahead to the future of industrial development by
      spotlighting women’s leadership in shaping competitiveness, driving green and digital
      transitions, and navigating the opportunities and risks posed by AI and the future of work,
      and to showcase innovative policies, programmes and partnerships that advance gender
      equality in transforming industrial ecosystems.

      It provides a flagship platform for amplifying policy priorities, future-oriented success
      stories, and commitments toward gender-responsive industrial development. A ceremonial
      highlight will be the UNIDO Gender Equality Mobilization (GEM) Award, recognizing
      excellence by UNIDO personnel and external partners.

    • Metrics That Matter: Measuring and Steering Industrial Transformation through a Gender Lens

      This panel will examine how sex‑disaggregated industrial statistics and data, combined
      with insights from AI, digitalization and advanced manufacturing trends, can drive
      evidence‑based industrial policies for competitive, green and digitally enabled economies.

      The discussion will explore how women’s participation in AI‑driven industries, advanced
      manufacturing, robotics, and digital leadership can be strengthened, and how data systems must evolve to track these emerging patterns.

      Panelists will highlight the metrics that matter for shaping inclusive industrial transformation, supporting Member States in identifying key levers for policy coherence, innovation and future‑ready industrial strategies.
