Background
This workshop builds on the requests and outcomes of the last Capacity Building Workshop on Technology Driven Solutions for Air Pollution in ASEAN, held in Bali, Indonesia, in November 2025 which focused on capacity building on innovative visualised techniques to transform complex data into actionable insights for policymakers and the public. In this connection, the key objectives of the workshop are to: (i) strengthen the technical capacity of ASEAN Member States in using digital data on air quality and AI-powered forecasting tools, and (ii) foster partnerships between government agencies, UN agencies, international/national organizations, and research institutions to create scalable digital solutions and networks for addressing air pollution across the ASEAN region.
