As per General Assembly Resolutions 73/195 and 73/326, the President of the General Assembly will convene the second International Migration Review Forum from 5 to 8 May 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. An informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearing will take place on the day preceding the Forum on 4 May 2026.
The Forum will consist of four interactive multi-stakeholder roundtables on 5 May and the morning of 6 May, followed by a policy debate in the afternoon of 6 May. The plenary meetings of the Forum will be held on 7 and 8 May 2026.
According to resolution 73/326, the opening segment of the IMRF plenary will feature statements from one representative from the migrant community, and a representative of civil society, who will be invited to present a summary of the multi-stakeholder hearing.
Adequate space will be also reserved for participation of stakeholders during each roundtable, as well as policy debate. Due to the limited time available for the meeting, it will not be possible to accommodate all requests for interventions. Only the selected speakers will be contacted by the Secretariat. Representatives of non-governmental organizations in consultative status with ECOSOC ONLY are invited to register through this portal.
Please note:
- Each Organization will be able to register up to 5 representatives from each organization for in-person participation. If more than five representatives are registered under an organization, the Secretariat will approve only the first 5 registrants on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Conference focal points are not allowed to register participants from their organization. Each registrant must register as an individual by clicking on the "Register now" button at the bottom of this page to acquire an account.
- Review and approval of each registrant will be undertaken by the United Nations Secretariat upon verification of credentials.
- Registering for the conference does not guarantee your in-person participation. You will receive an approval letter to confirm your in-person participation if your registration is approved by the United Nations Secretariat.
