27 January 2026 will mark the 81st anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp.
On this International Day dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust, UNESCO invites you to an official ceremony to reaffirm our shared commitment to the memory of the Holocaust and the fight against antisemitism and racism.
The ceremony will be attended by Khaled El-Enany, UNESCO Director-General, government officials and Léon Placek, Holocaust survivor. It will also feature musical performances.
Le 27 janvier 2026 marquera le 81e anniversaire de la libération du camp de concentration et d’extermination d'Auschwitz-Birkenau.
À l'occasion de cette Journée internationale dédiée à la mémoire des victimes de l'Holocauste, l'UNESCO vous invite à participer à cette cérémonie officielle afin de réaffirmer notre engagement commun en faveur de la mémoire de l'Holocauste et de la lutte contre l'antisémitisme et le racisme.
La cérémonie se déroulera en présence de Khaled El-Enany, Directeur général de l'UNESCO, de représentants gouvernementaux et de Léon Placek, rescapé de la Shoah. Des performances musicales seront également au programme.
