DESCRIPTION:International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025
 ) – Closing Ceremony\nThe Closing Ceremony of the International Year of 
 Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025) will take place from 10 to 11 F
 ebruary 2026 in Accra\, Ghana\, marking the conclusion of a year-long glo
 bal observance dedicated to advancing quantum science and technology for s
 ustainable development.\nThe Closing Ceremony will bring together represen
 tatives from Member States\, the scientific community\, international orga
 nisations\, partners\, and stakeholders from across regions. The event wil
 l provide a moment of collective reflection on the outcomes and achievemen
 ts of IYQ 2025\, while opening a forward-looking dialogue on the future of
  international cooperation in quantum science and technology beyond the In
 ternational Year.\n \nHighlights of IYQ 2025\nSince its launch\, IYQ 2025
  has mobilised a broad and diverse global community through scientific eve
 nts\, educational initiatives\, policy dialogues\, public engagement activ
 ities\, and capacity-building efforts across all regions. Particular atten
 tion has been given to promoting inclusive participation\, strengthening s
 cientific capacity\, and addressing emerging gaps in access to quantum sci
 ence and technology.\nThe Closing Ceremony will highlight selected global 
 and regional milestones of IYQ 2025\, with reflections on lessons learned 
 and emerging priorities.\n \nLooking Beyond 2025\nAs quantum science and 
 technology continue to evolve rapidly\, sustained international cooperatio
 n will be essential to ensure that their benefits are shared equitably. Th
 e Closing Ceremony will provide a forward-looking perspective on how the m
 omentum generated during IYQ 2025 can be carried forward\, including throu
 gh strengthened science-policy dialogue\, capacity building\, and inclusiv
 e global collaboration\, particularly in regions where quantum ecosystems 
 are still emerging.\n \nParticipation\nThe event will be held primarily i
 n person in Accra\, Ghana.\nDue to venue capacity constraints\, in-person
  participation will be limited to approximately 500 participants and is s
 ubject to registration and confirmation.\nTravel to Ghana\nObtaining a vis
 a for entry to Ghana is required for most foreign passport holders.  Visa
  requirements depend on your passport nationality. Please check the requir
 ements for your own country.\nGenerally\, valid documentation of a yellow 
 fever vaccination is required upon arrival in Ghana.\nTourist visas can ty
 pically use their hotel accommodations as a host with documentation of a b
