DESCRIPTION:Introduction: \nThe Article 6.4 Supervisory Body (SBM) is act
ively working towards the full operationalization of the mechanism. The ad
option of the first PACM methodology\, A6.4 AMM 001: Flaring or Use of Lan
dfill Gas\, marks a pivotal moment in these efforts. This methodology was
developed through the top down process. Additional methodologies are expec
ted to be approved next year\, largely through the same top down approach.
\nIn parallel\, stakeholders have begun submitting PACM methodologies thro
ugh the bottom up process\, in accordance with the procedure on the develo
pment\, revision\, and clarification of methodologies and methodological t
ools.•    Already over 20 methodologies proposals have been received b
y the UNFCCC secretariat. •    Five proposed PACM methodologies have
passed the Initial Assessment stage and are being considered by the Method
ological Expert Panel (MEP).\nWith a growing number of bottom-up methodolo
gy submissions\, it becomes increasingly important to support stakeholders
in preparing robust\, high quality proposals that can move successfully t
hrough the assessment and approval process. In particular\, targeted guida
nce and outreach are essential to ensure that submitters are well aware of
the procedures\, requirements and expectations for bottom-up methodologie
s submissions.\nObjective of the webinar \nThe webinar is organized with
the overarching objective of supporting stakeholders who are keen to submi
t or re-submit PACM methodologies using the bottom up process. As part of
the session\, stakeholders will be introduced to the requirements and proc
edures for proposing a bottom up methodology submission\, as outlined in t
he procedure on the development\, revision\, and clarification of methodol
ogies and methodological tools. The webinar will also highlight the import
ance of aligning proposed PACM methodologies with the PACM regulatory fram
ework\, including the baseline\, additionality\, and leakage standards. Im
portantly\, the webinar will demystify the key elements that stakeholders
should follow to ensure high quality methodology submissions. In doing so\
, it will provide practical guidance on the essential Do’s and Don’ts\
, along with common mistakes and pitfalls to avoid. In addition\, particip
ants will have the opportunity to raise clarification questions throughout
the session\, ensuring they leave with a stronger understanding of the bo
ttom up methodology development process.\n \n\nHow to register \nIMPORTA
