This form is only for registration by the following organizations or entities seeking to attend the second session of the Preparatory Commission established by General Assembly resolution 78/272 for the entry into force of the BBNJ Agreement and the convening of the first meeting of the Conference of the Parties as observers: interested global and regional intergovernmental organizations and other interested international bodies that were invited to participate in relevant conferences and summits (see resolution 78/272, paragraph 5, footnote 5).
For other organizations or entities listed below, registration information is accessible through https://www.un.org/bbnjagreement/en: (a) organizations and other entities that have received a standing invitation to participate as observers in the work of the General Assembly pursuant to its relevant resolutions; (b) Associate members of regional commissions (see resolution 78/272, para 5, footnote 6); and (c) relevant specialized agencies, as well as other organs, organizations, funds and programmes of the United Nations system.
