DESCRIPTION:APPLICATION DEADLINE 11 SEPTEMBER 2026\nThe United Nations Gen
 eral Assembly has established an Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (
 INC) to draft a United Nations Framework Convention on International Tax C
 ooperation and two early protocols. \nThe United Nations Framework Conven
 tion on International Tax Cooperation is a proposed international legal in
 strument aimed at improving global tax cooperation.\nThis Member State-led
  process will run from 2025 to 2027\, with the aim of developing a framewo
 rk convention that leads to fully inclusive and more effective internation
 al tax cooperation.\nIMPORTANT INFORMATION\n*Organizations that apply at t
 his time and meet the final criteria for consideration will be formally co
 nsidered by the Committee on Monday\, 30 November 2026 at the Sixth Sessio
 n in Nairobi. \n*Organizations that are interested in participating in the
  Sixth Session in Nairobi and the Seventh Session in New York are highly e
 ncouraged to apply at this time.\n*This special accreditation is applied a
 t the organizational level\, requiring only one application per entity. In
 dividuals may not apply for special accreditation.\n*Accredited organizati
 ons will be required to register their authorized representatives ahead of
  each INC session.\n*Projects fiscally sponsored by parent entities may no
 t apply for accreditation. The fiscal sponsor must apply with proof of its
  legal status. Only entities with their own legal status may apply for spe
 cial ad hoc accreditation.\n*Organizations approved for participation will
  be informed and will receive additional instructions regarding the regist
 ration process for their representatives. \n*Applications will be reviewe
 d by Member States. The name of the organization and country will be share
 d with the Member States\, and other information\, including but not limit
 ed to the homepage and/or the reason for participation\, may also be share
 d if requested.  \nSPECIAL ACCREDITATION APPLICATION TO THE INC PROCESS\
 nSpecial Accreditation is an opportunity\, provided by UN Member States\, 
 for civil society organizations\, academia\, private sector organizations\
 , philanthropies\, and other stakeholders NOT in Consultative Status with 
 ECOSOC to participate in the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC)
  to draft a United Nations Framework Convention on International Tax Coope
 ration.\nPlease note that accreditation to other UN processes (e.g.\, COP\
 , FFD4\, WSSD2) does NOT transfer to the INC process.\n\nI am a government
  official\, staff member of the United Nations system\, representative of 
 an IGO. Is my entity accredited? \n\n\n\nNote that many categories of ins
 titutions are automatically accredited to the INC process:\n\n\n\nMember S
 tates of the United Nations\nUnited Nations organizations\nSpecialized Age
 ncies and Related Organizations of the United Nations System\nOrganization
 s in consultative status with ECOSOC\nOrganizations that have already rece
 ived special accreditation to participate in previous sessions of the INC 
 process.\nIntergovernmental organizations with observer status at the UN G
 eneral Assembly\nIntergovernmental organizations with ad hoc accreditation
  to the INC process \n\n \n\n\nI do not belong to any organization. Can 
 I attend? \n\n\nYou cannot attend the sessions of the INC as an individua
 l. Participants must be associated with an accredited organization. Accred
 ited organizations will be able to register their authorized representativ
 es for each session of the INC.\nMy organization received accreditation at
  a previous INC session. Do we need to reapply? \nNo\, the accreditation o
 f your organization remains valid throughout the entire process. The next 
 step is to register the individuals who will represent your organization\,
  which is expected to be available by October 2026. Please check the INC T
 ax website for further details.\nWhat documents are necessary to apply for
  special accreditation?\nProof of Legal Status \nA document issued by a f
 ederal/national government demonstrating proof of legal status in your org
 anization’s headquarters’ country.  \nExample of proof of legal statu
 s:  \n\n\nProof of incorporation \n\n\n\n\n501 (c)(3) filing status (US
  entities) \n\n\n\n\nCertificate of registry \n\n\nExpression of Interes
 t Letter  \nA letter on official letterhead signed by the Head of the Or
 ganization requesting special accreditation to the event.  \nPlease find
