DESCRIPTION:APPLICATION DEADLINE 31 MARCH 2026\nThe United Nations General
  Assembly has established an Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC)
  to draft a United Nations Framework Convention on International Tax Coope
 ration and two early protocols. \nThe United Nations Framework Convention
  on International Tax Cooperation is a proposed international legal instru
 ment aimed at improving global tax cooperation.\nThis Member State-led pro
 cess will run from 2025 to 2027\, with the aim of developing a framework c
 onvention that leads to fully inclusive and more effective international t
 ax cooperation.\nIMPORTANT INFORMATION\n*This special accreditation is app
 lied at the organizational level\, requiring only one application per enti
 ty. Individuals may not apply for special accreditation.\n*Accredited orga
 nizations will be required to register their authorized representatives ah
 ead of each INC session.\n*Projects fiscally sponsored by parent entities 
 may not apply for accreditation. The fiscal sponsor must apply with proof 
 of its legal status. Only entities with their own legal status may apply f
 or special ad hoc accreditation.\n*Organizations approved for participatio
 n will be informed and will receive additional instructions regarding the 
 registration process for their representatives. \n*Applications will be r
 eviewed by Member States. The name of the organization and country will be
  shared with the Member States\, and other information\, including but not
  limited to the homepage and/or the reason for participation\, may also be
  shared if requested.  \nSPECIAL ACCREDITATION APPLICATION TO THE INC PR
 OCESS\nSpecial Accreditation is an opportunity\, provided by UN Member Sta
 tes\, for civil society organizations\, academia\, private sector organiza
 tions\, philanthropies\, and other stakeholders NOT in Consultative Status
  with ECOSOC to participate in the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee
  (INC) to draft a United Nations Framework Convention on International Tax
  Cooperation.\nPlease note that accreditation to other UN processes (e.g.\
 , COP\, FFD4\, WSSD2) does NOT transfer to the INC process.\n\nI am a gove
 rnment official\, staff member of the United Nations system\, representati
 ve of an IGO. Is my entity accredited? \n\n\n\nNote that many categories 
 of institutions are automatically accredited to the INC process:\n\n\n\nMe
 mber States of the United Nations\nUnited Nations organizations\nSpecializ
 ed Agencies and Related Organizations of the United Nations System\nOrgani
 zations in consultative status with ECOSOC\nOrganizations that have alread
 y received special accreditation to participate in previous sessions of th
 e INC process.\nIntergovernmental organizations with observer status at th
 e UN General Assembly\nIntergovernmental organizations with ad hoc accredi
 tation to the INC process \n\n \n\n\nI do not belong to any organization
 . Can I attend? \n\n\nYou cannot attend the sessions of the INC as an ind
 ividual. Participants must be associated with an accredited organization. 
 Accredited organizations will be able to register their authorized represe
 ntatives for each session of the INC.\nMy organization received accreditat
 ion at a previous INC session. Do we need to reapply? \nNo\, the accredita
 tion of your organization remains valid throughout the entire process. The
  next step is to register the individuals who will represent your organiza
 tion\, which is expected to be available by May 2026. Please check the INC
  website for further details.\nWhat documents are necessary to apply for s
 pecial accreditation?\nProof of Legal Status \nA document issued by a fed
 eral/national government demonstrating proof of legal status in your organ
 ization’s headquarters’ country.  \nExample of proof of legal status:
   \n\n\nProof of incorporation \n\n\n\n\n501 (c)(3) filing status (US e
 ntities) \n\n\n\n\nCertificate of registry \n\n\nExpression of Interest 
 Letter  \nA letter on official letterhead signed by the Head of the Orga
 nization requesting special accreditation to the event.  \nPlease find a
  sample here.  \n \nActivities Report  \nA list of recent activities
  that your organization has undertaken\, aligned to the INC process. Kindl
