DESCRIPTION:The United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) will
  organize a Global Training Course for BWC National Contact Points (NCPs).
 \nThe Global Training Course will take place at the Palais des Nations in 
 Geneva\, Switzerland\, from 18 to 19 February 2026.  \nThe Global Trainin
 g Course will provide dedicated guidance to NCPs on the implementation of 
 the BWC\, including practical information and skills pertaining to the rol
 es and responsibilities of NCPs and best practices in developing legislati
 on\, action plans\, and preparing Confidence Building Measures (CBMs). The
  Regional Training Course has been designed by UNODA\, with financial supp
 ort from the European Union\, as a dedicated capacity-building initiative 
 in response to requests for support from NCPs relevant to their critical r
 ole in fulfilling their State's obligations under the Convention.\nThe Glo
 bal Training Course is aimed at all national representatives or entities s
 erving as BWC NCPs designated by their respective national authorities or 
 who could potentially assume such responsibility.\nParticipation will be l
 imited to one representative per State Party.\nThe event will be conducted
