Workshop: Pivoting outside the UN?
Exploring career opportunities in Switzerland: an international career hub
Are you considering your next professional step outside the UN system, or simply looking to better understand the Swiss job market? This practical half-day workshop, organized by CAGI and delivered by TnP – Transition & Performance, offers a first concrete step to help UN staff explore career options in Switzerland and beyond.
The session focuses on practical insights and tools to help participants better understand the local job market, translate International Organization experience into skills relevant to non-UN employers, and approach career transitions with greater clarity.
By the end of the workshop, you will:
· Have a clearer picture of how the Swiss job market works;
· Better understand how your UN experience can be positioned outside the system;
· Identify practical next steps and tools to support your transition, including networking tips, AI-supported tools, and online branding.
Target audience: UN Common System staff in Geneva who are exploring or anticipating a career transition. Online participation is possible for staff from other International Organizations and NGOs.
Two identical sessions will be offered on the same day (English in the morning, French in the afternoon).
Venue: Palais des Nations (Room IX) and online (Zoom).
