The Sixth Session of the Committee on Social Policy, Poverty and Gender is a statutory body of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), comprising Member States. The session will take place from 26–28 November, 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, under the theme: “From Informal Employment to Sustainable Livelihoods: Emerging Technologies as Equitable Transition Pathways.”
This session will focus on how ECA can better support transformative strategies, policies, and programs that promote poverty reduction, decent employment, gender and youth empowerment, and social protection, while advancing gender equality across the continent.
