The FAO Liaison Office in Geneva, in collaboration with the FAO Right to Food Team of the Rural Transformation and Gender Equality Division (ESP), invites you to an hybrid briefing session on “The Right to Food and Women in Agriculture: Voices of Women Farmers”.

In line with The International Year of Women Farmers in 2026, this session aims to explore and promote the transformative potential of the Right to Food as a legal and policy tool to accelerate progress toward gender equality and the empowerment of women farmers.

This session is part of the FAO in Geneva Right to Food Thematic Dialogue Series that seeks to emphasize the need for concerted action and commitment at all levels to fully realize the Right to Food for all, to advocate for the redoubling of efforts to build inclusive agrifood systems that uphold human rights, and to highlight the cohesion and collaborative action between Rome and Geneva across Permanent Missions, UN agencies, civil society and academia.
