DESCRIPTION:\nRealizing the significance to empower youth in Africa\, UNE
 SCO\, in partnership with the People’s Republic of China\, initiated 
 the China Funds-in-Trust Project Phase III: Higher Technical Education i
 n Africa for a Technical and Innovative Workforce (CFIT III).  \n\n\nT
 he overall objective of the CFIT III is to enhance the capacity of highe
 r education institutions (HEIs) to respond to the skill needs for national
  development by facilitating collaboration between higher education inst
 itutions and the industry\, enhancing labour market-oriented teaching\, an
 d strengthening competence-based learning.  \n \n\n\nThe six participat
 ing countries are: Côte d’Ivoire\, Ethiopia\, Gabon\, Senegal\, Tanzani
 a\, and Uganda. The CFIT III project implementation was officially launche
 d in October 2021 after the completion of the project formulation and ince
 ption phase (March - September 2021). The project had a duration of four y
 ears and project activities have been completed by December 2025. \n \n\
 n\nThe Project Closing Event aims to bring together CFIT III project k
 ey stakeholders\, including representatives from higher education institut
 ions\, ministries\, development partners\, private sector actors\, and you
 th\, to reflect on the CFIT III project results and achievements\, sho
 wcase innovative solutions developed by partner institutions\, and chart
  a roadmap for sustaining its outcomes beyond the current project cycle.
  \n \n\n\nThe meeting aims to: \n\n\n\n\nShowcase high-impact solution
 s developed under CFIT III to advance competency-based higher technical e
 ducation that addresses skills mismatches and enhances youth employabili
 ty. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nFacilitate knowledge sharing and peer learning among c
 ountries and institutions on successful practices and lessons learned in l
 inking higher education to labour market demands and national sustainable 
 development priorities. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrate collective achievements a
 nd partnerships that have fostered innovation and capacity strengthening 
 in higher education systems across Africa. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPromote dialogue
  on future cooperation opportunities in advancing labor market information
  intelligence\, green and digital skills development\, competency-based cu
 rriculum review\, government-university-industry partnership for a skill-b
